Rolwaling Valley Trek

TRIP INTRODUCTION

Sandwiched between the Langtang and the Everest Region Rolwaling valley trek gives us the experience of unlimited adventurous trekking in Nepal. Also Known as Gaurishankar Rolwaling vhilal lies in the east- central Nepal along with the Tibet border. Rolwaling valley includes Melungtse 7182 m and  Melungtse II 7023 m inside Tibet. Its natural habitats of Human settlement are mostly of Sherpa Communities. Though listed in the list of Strenuous and difficult trekking destination it is not hard to explore with the help of good companion and experience guide  of parikrama Treks that will be showing you all the destination.

First exploration of this unlimited adventurous trekking of Nepal was done by Eric Shipton in 1951 during the reconnaissance of Mount Everest. Rolwaling valley trek extends east to west of the Gauri Shankar Massif (7134 m) and this trek through the Rolwaling valley is one of the truly “off-the-beaten-tracks”. Starting with a drive from Kathmandu to the village of Charikot, it passes through the Rolwaling valley and cross the Tashi Labtsa to the Khumbu valley. And at the end of the trek you can make the choice to go furtner up to everest trek or have a return flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

However, the strain and degree of difficulty are constantly rewarded on this Rolwaling valley trek with visits to remote villages, the magnificence of the Omni-present Mountains and walks through thick Rhododendron forests also the lake which is located  at the altitude of 4,580 m in the Rolwaling Valley, Dolakha. On the approach to the Tashi Labtsa pass (5755 m), the northern skyline is constantly dominated by the summit of Mt. Gauri Shankar (7146 m.), for a long time confused with Everest and thought to be the highest mountain in the world. This trek takes you through a demographic cross section of Nepal that cannot be sampled on any other trek.
