  • Hike up to Taktshang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery.
Day 03: Walkthrough tiny villages to Shana (2,820 m / 6 hrs)
  • Trek from Drukgyal Dzong to Shana.
  • Pass through cultivated fields and picturesque villages.
Day 04: Trek Shana to Thangthangka (3610 m / 8 hrs)
  • Trek through Jigme Dorji National Park.
  • Walk through river and dense forest areas, passing isolated farmhouses.
Day 05: Hike Nomadic Yak Land to Jangothang (4115 m / 6 hrs)
  • Hike through the winter home of yak herdsmen.
  • Reach Jhomolhari base camp (4,115 m).
Day 06: Explore Jangothang Base Camp
  • Option to visit Jhomolhari glacier or lakes in the opposite direction.
Day 07: Cross Second high passes to Lingshi (4150 m / 7 hrs)
  • Cross the Nyelela pass at 4800 m.
  • Capture views of the mystical Dzong atop a high hill.
Day 08: Cross Highest pass to Shodu (3963 m / 7 hrs)
  • Cross Yale-la pass at an elevation of 4,990 meters.
  • Enjoy mountain views.
Day 09: Crossing of Waterfalls to Barshong (3610 m / 7 hrs)
  • Cross a military camp and walk through a rhododendron forest.
  • Experience waterfalls along the way.
Day 10: Uphill and downhill walk to Dodina (9 hrs)
