Jhomolhari Trek is a unique high passes trek in Bhutan. It is one of the most visited trekking destinations of Bhutan. Chomolhari trails are a true nature lover destination in the wilderness of Himalayas. This region has a huge diversity of landscapes, flora, and fauna with cultural people. Trek to the base of Jhomolhari is a strenuous trek as we will hike to a high near to 5000 m challenging our endurance.
Jhomolhari trek starts with your arrival in Paro and enjoying real Bhutan for 12 days. While on this trip you will walk through several picturesque villages. You will also enter the National park before reaching Jhomolhari Base Camp in the north. Later you will walk through the nomadic land full of yaks and monasteries. You will also experience a typical Himalaya lifestyle and stunning high land treasure. Most of all you will get the greatest view of Mount Jhomolhari.
Jhomolhari trekking trail is a northern Bhutan tour with a short hike of Tiger nest. On this trek, we will visit Taktsang, Shana, Thangthangka, Jangothang while hiking up. From Jangothang Base Camp we descents to Lingshi, Shodu, Barshong, Dodina, and Paro. Finally, we return back for our next journey.

Today, we will hike up to Taktshang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery.
Trek to Shana starts from Drukgyal Dzong following the Paro River. We pass through the cultivated fields and tiny picturesque villages.
Today trail will take us through Jigme Dorji National Park. We will walk through the river and dense forest areas with few isolated farmhouses.
Today trail let us go through the winter home of yak herdsmen. We will see lots of yaks on our way to Jhomolhari base camp (4,115 m).
Today we can visit Jhomolhari glacier or to the lakes in the opposite direction.
Today we will cross the second highest pass of the trip. Nyelela pass stands 4800 m above sea level. We will also capture the mystical Dzong view at the top of a high hill.
The highest crossing of the trip awaits us for this day. We will cross Yale-la pass in elevation of 4,990 meters with the views of mountains around.
Today we will cross a military camp and walk through a forest of rhododendrons. Waterfalls are the highlight of this day.
Today is the final day fo the trek as we walk through Thimphu Chu. Our trail follows the river until we emerge at Dodina in Thimpu. Later we will drive to our hotel.
Today we take a drive to Paro for our final night stay in Bhutan.
