The Island Peak Trek is the most popular trekking peak in Nepal. From Dingboche the mountain is seen as an island in a sea of ice. The summit is interesting and attractive with a highly glaciated west face rising from the Lhotse Glacier. The mountain itself is the extension of the South Ridge of Lhotse Shar separated by a small col.The Island Peak Trek not only provides an enjoyable climb but also provides some of the most spectacular scenery of the Himalayas. Seen from the summit of Island peak, the giant mountains, Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse (8,501m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) make a semi circle in the north. The views of Makalu (8475m) in the east, Baruntse and Amadablam in the south are never to be forgotten.
Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu, pick up from airport. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 02 : Free day in Kathmandu to make the final preparations for your trek or do some exploring on your own.
Day 03 : Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m.) which takes about 30 minutes and trek from Lukla to Phakding (2640m.).
Day 04 : Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.)
Day 05 : Rest at Namche Bazar for acclimatization and excursion around the places
Day 06 : Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3850 m.)
Day 07 : Trek from Tyangboche to Dingboche (4350m.)
Day 08 : Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4930 m.)
Day 09 : Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep (5140 m.)
Day 10 : Trek from Gorakshep to Kala Patthar (5545m.) and trek to Pheriche (4243m.) Day 11 : Trek from Pheriche to Chhuking (4730 m.)
Day 12 : Trek from Chhukung to Island Peak Base Camp (5087m)
Day 13 : Trek to high camp
Day 14 : High Camp – Summit Island peak 6189m.- Chhukung
Day 15 : Trek Chhukung to Pangboche (3985m.)
Day 16 : Trek Pangboche to Khumjung (3790m.)
Day 17 : Trek Khumjung to Monjo
Day 18 : Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2800m
Day 19 : Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel.
Day 20 : Free day in Kathmandu for souvenir shopping & independent activities
Day 21 : Send off to airport, departure from Kathmandu.

* A CLIMBING SHERPA If you require a climbing Sherpa to assist you to get to the summit. His cost will be US$ 300.00 FROM THE GROUP divided by you. For his equipments/ allowances and risk of working in the mountain. This is as per the rule of NMA (Nepal Mountaineering Association).
* GARBAGE DEPOSIT US$ 250 payable from the group (This deposit is refundable to you after to completion of climb).
