It was first climbed on May 13, 1960, by a Swiss/ Austrian/ Nepali expedition team.

This is a long, difficult trek around Dhaulagiri (8167 m) that starts from Beni. These 25 days of the trek will ends once we arrive at the city of Lakes “Pokhara”. Much of the route is on snow and glaciers as it crosses French Col pass (5240 m). The trek ends with a steep descent to Marpha and a return to Pokhara via the Ghorepani ridge.
