Everest Kala Patthar Trek

TRIP INTRODUCTION

One of the famous routes for the best trekking holidays is Everest Kala Patthar Trek. Every year lots of tourist-based on different adventure activities visit this destination. In search of new thrills and climbing, the destination leads them to the Everest trek. Everest Region trek provides more than 20 trekking peaks and high mountains of this area.

Kala Patthar Trek including the trek from Arun valley to Everest trekking in Nepal. This trek provides superb views of both Mt Everest and Makalu and snow-capped peaks. We recommend this approach to those people who have already been to the Everest region. If you want to revisit Everest Base Camp (Kala Patthar) via a less-traveled route this one is for you.

Kala Patthar Trek requires stamina and fitness to appreciate beauty. It will provide some outstanding views during the sunrise of the snow-capped peaks. This trek is an approach from Arun Valley commencing with a flight to Tumlingtar. It lies to the East of the Everest region, with a week of walking in the virgin territory of the Solu Khumbu region. Before a push up on the main Everest trail to Kala Patthar, we have a tremendous close-up view of Everest. Nuptse and Lhotse along with many others make our way before we end the journey back to Lukla.

If you are a trekker you will know the experience that we can get from different places. The pleasure of standing on the summit of the Kala Patthar is more than imagination. It is a place where you want to reach in your dreams with the panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse Kwangde, Ama Dablam, and others.

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu

Meet and assist by Parikrama Trekking representative and transfer to the hotel. We will provide a short briefing about the Everest Kala Patthar Trek.

Day 02: Flight to Tumlingtar [45 mins]

You will have a scenic flight to Tumlingtar early in the morning. Get ready to enjoy the great views of Langtang and Everest Region Mountain.

Day 03: Trek to Katikeghat (840 m / 5 hrs)

Today we will have a short walk in the warmer area while crossing the Arun River.

Day 04: Trek to Gothe bazaar (800 m / 6 hrs)

Today we will have a great view of Arun valley. We will walk through many scattered farm villages full of mandarin oranges.

Day 05: Trek Salpa Phedi (2,415 m / 6 hrs)

Today trek leads through terrace land with rice paddies, citrus fruits, bananas, etc.

Day 06: Trek to Guranse (3,075 m / 6 hrs)

We start our morning with a steep uphill climb through dense Alpine woodlands. Bamboo, rhododendron, oaks, hemlock, and pines trees are some seen on today’s trail.

Day 07: Trek to Guidel via Salpa pass (1,640 m / 6 hrs)

Today we will walk an hour uphill walk to reach Salpa pass of 3,349 meters altitude. Large Buddhist chortens marking this scenic pass make it’s more beautiful.

Day 08: Trek to Khiraule (2,360 m / 5 hrs)

Today we will cross the Hinku River which flows from the Mera peak area. We will also see the most fertile area of eastern Nepal.

Day 09: Trek to Ghai Kharka [2,450 m] via Surkhe La (3,100 m / 6 hrs)

Suki-la also called Ghai-Kharka pass is a narrow gorge with a forested area. You will see a few prayer flags and prayer signs and monuments today.

Day 10: Trek to Pangbung (2,670 m / 6 hrs)

Today we will once again cross Hinku Khola which later joins with the Dudh Kosi river.

Day 11: Trek to Bupsa (2, 250 m / 5 hrs)

Today we will end the Arun valley as we will enter the Khumbu region of Everest area.

Day 12: Trek to Surkhe (2,295 m / 6 hrs)

Today we will walk with a climb on the winding trail into a cool alpine forest.

Day 13: Trek to Phakding (2,650 m / 5 hrs)

Today we will reach the first night area of the Everest Base Camp trek.

Day 14: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 6 hrs)

Today trail leads us to the highest trekking hub destination with pubs and bars to enjoy.

Day 15: Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization

A full rest day at this high altitude of 3,440 meters before heading higher destination.

Day 16: Trek to Tengboche (3,867 m / 5 hrs)

We start our trek with a small climb at the top ridge and then on the gentle winding trail. Today we will have superb views of Mt Everest and adjoining mountains.

Day 17: Trek to Dingboche (4,430 m / 5 hrs)

Today we will reach the last settlement of permanent Sherpa village. The further settlement is only to give the basic needs for the trekkers.

Day 18: Trek to Lobuche (4,840 m / 5 hrs)

Today climb with let us see the grand views of surrounding snow-capped peaks as far as Mt Makalu in the east. Later we will visit ridge top lined with tombs and memorial of unfortunate climbers.

Day 19: Trek to Everest Base Camp [5,360 m] via Gorakshep (6 hrs)

Today we walk towards our final destination and the highlight of this wonderful trip. We will deposit our luggage in Gorekshep before following our trail to Everest Base Camp.

Day 20: Hike to Kalapatthar and trek to Pheriche (06 hrs)

Early morning 2 hours hike to the top of the rocky summit of Kalapatthar at 5,545 meters. It is the highest spot of this trip offering glorious views of surrounding mountains.

Day 21: Trek to Tengboche via Pangboche village (3,900 m / 5 hrs)

After the base camp and climb of Kalapatthar, today’s walk is easier on the downhill path.

Day 22: Trek to Monjo village (2,860 m / 06 hrs)

We will retrace the journey back to Monjo on losing much altitude through Lobesa.

Day 23: Trek to Lukla – (05 hrs)

Today is the last day of the trek with a pleasant walk on the winding trail passing several villages.

Day 24: Flight back to Kathmandu

We will have a scenic flight back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Day 25: Rest Day

This day is reserve incase the flight got canceled. Free day to relax on your own.

Day 26: Departure

A Everest Kala Patthar Trek Joureny Ends.
