Among the highest mountain of the world one of the eighth highest mountain is also found to be preserved in the Manaslu region of Nepal. It is known as Manaslu also know as Kutang with the height of 8,163 m above sea level. Located in the Mansiri Himal at the west central part of Nepal Manaslu is derived for the Sanskrit word which means mountains of the spirit which can be associated with the intellect and soul. With the increase in number of climber and the interest to explore new territory at May 9, 1956 Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen NOrbu members of Japanese Expedition first reach to the summit and now it is also knows as Japanese Mountain.
To describe it more it is 64 km east f Annapurna and is considered to be the highest peak of Gorkha. Manaslu Region offers trekkers with the variety of option with the popular route of 177 km skirts the Manaslu massif over the pass down to Annapurna Region. Though first summit was done in 1956 but was opened to tourist in 1991 with Manaslu Circuit trek. This place is also considered as the salt trading path on the history of Nepal and as we follow the path along with Burhi Gandaki River.
Manaslu Trekking peak may have eights highest mountain of the world but still can be known for another 10 peaks over 6500 m including few over 7000 m. Larkya La with the elevation of 5,600 m is the highest point that can be reached on this trek. The end of May 2008 studies the perfect climb of this beautiful mountain by 297 times with the very surprise of 53 fatalities only.
